Berlin-based postal entrepreneur Andreas Schumann is the managing director of internetPost AG.
Following a degree in agronomy and business, Andreas founded one of Germany’s first local postal services after liberalization of the German postal market in 1998.
Bought out by Fiege Logistik AG, he then moved on to build up the Sächsischen Zeitung Postmodern mail service, which still operates successfully today. During this time he was a board member of BdKEP, the German association for courier, express & postal services, and speaker for the German “More Colour in the Postal Market” forum.
In 2001 he transferred to EP Europost, now TNT Post GmbH & Co. KG, in Hannover.
Working in a variety of management positions, he played a key role in shaping and building up the company’s product and process landscape, lastly as their Director of Quality and a Six Sigma Black Belt. He founded internetPost AG in April 2010.

The platform also enables users to determine how goods should be delivered in their absence, and a further application for managing relocation addresses is in development.
As an entrepreneur, Andreas Schumann is a link between traditional courier, express and postal companies (KEP), logistics start-ups and innovative logistics service providers, as well as industry associations and institutions.
Together with Walter Trezek, Andreas has developed a customer-centric, data-driven business model enabling businesses and consumers to respect personal information and determine the use of their personal data.
